Sitting is not boarding with a different address. The work happens in someone else’s home, at times that change from job to job, and often between two sitters.
What it does for pet sitters
Hours, not vague parts of the day
Switch a service to exact times and a sit is booked 18:00 to 09:00. The times never change the price — a sit is charged per night — but everyone knows when to be there.
One sit ends, the next begins, same day
Two sitters can share a dog on the handover day as long as the hours do not overlap. Each booking keeps its own nights, so nothing has to be added to the invoice by hand.
Visits by the slot
Drop-ins are booked per window, priced per visit or per hour, with a minimum you set. Several a day is normal and reads clearly on the invoice.
Keys, and who has them
Which key, whose house, which sitter is holding it and when it came back.
Updates the owner reads on holiday
Photos and a line of text from the visit, on their phone, without you setting up anything else.
Questions pet sitters ask
Yes. A sitter sees their own daybook and their own clients, and the owner sees everything. Their hours and pay follow the work they were assigned.
Per night. Arrival and departure times are for the people involved, not for the price, so an evening start costs the same as a morning one.
A handover is booked as two sits that meet on the same day — one for each sitter, each with its own nights and its own pay. A single booking is held by one sitter.
