It Started with Teds.dog

MyPetSitter was founded by Vio, who started out as a dog walker back in 2019 — out in all weathers, building relationships with every dog and owner on the round. By 2022, Vio had fully acquired the pet care business he'd been working at, turning years of hands-on experience into a company of his own. Then Gaia came along — a Sprocker with serious personality — and she changed everything. She's the heart behind Teds.dog, and the reason this platform exists: because we understand first-hand what pet professionals and pet parents actually need.

Building MyPetSitter

Born from genuine industry experience rather than a boardroom strategy, MyPetSitter was built with the help of professional developers and specialists who work on the platform continuously. Running a real pet care business, our team saw the same frustrations everywhere — handwritten logs, WhatsApp-only bookings, no-show chaos, and invoice spreadsheets. Professional pet carers deserved better. The vision was clear: build an all-in-one platform that handles bookings, payments, client management, staff rotas, invoicing, and communications — so pet care professionals can focus on what they do best: caring for animals.Every feature has been designed from the perspective of people who actually work in pet care day to day. From real-time availability calendars to automated card payments, from branded white-label websites to the PupBook social feed — each piece exists because a real problem demanded a real solution. Gaia remains our unofficial QA lead; if it doesn't pass the Gaia test, it doesn't ship.
